An immersive Board & Train experience for dogs — and the people who love them.
K9 Bootcamp is the heart of Topline. Your dog comes to live with us at our property in Southern California, immersed in a structured, real-world environment where learning happens in the course of an actual day — not in a clinic, not in a single session.

First light
Where every Bootcamp day begins.
Most training happens in hourly sessions that end when the hour does. Bootcamp is different. Your dog lives with us, surrounded by the routines, environments, and real-world situations that actually shape behavior — and learns through them, every day.
It's built for dogs whose people want lasting change: calmer behavior, reliable communication, and the confidence to navigate everyday life. And it's built for the people too — because the work only holds when you understand it.
We're not teaching commands. We're building understanding between dogs and the people who love them.

Bootcamp works because it changes the context in which learning happens — and because that learning is reinforced, day after day, until it becomes habit.
Skills practiced in a training room don't always survive the front door. Bootcamp happens in the actual environments where your dog lives — so the learning transfers.
Calm, reliable behavior isn't taught in a moment. It's built through consistent, gentle repetition across many days and many situations.
Dogs thrive when they understand what's being asked. We build a shared language first — clear, fair, and consistent — and everything else follows.
Away from the patterns and pressures of home, dogs can reset. New routines, new associations, and room to learn without old triggers.
We don't take every dog, and we don't pretend Bootcamp is the answer to everything. The assessment is honest, on both sides — so we both know what we're walking into.
It starts with you telling us about your dog, your routine, and what you're hoping to change. We listen first.
We give you a straight read on whether Bootcamp is the right fit — and what it would realistically take to reach your goals.
If we're a match, we set a start date and walk you through exactly what to expect — for your dog and for you.

The bootcamp environment
A place designed for structure, clarity, and real-world learning.
There's no single “training hour” at Bootcamp. The day is the training — structured routines, real environments, rest, play, and the small repeated moments where dogs learn to trust and be trusted.
Your dog lives on the property, exposed to the everyday situations that matter — and supported through each one with patience and consistency.
Progress in Bootcamp isn't a straight line — but it does follow a path. We move through three phases, at the dog's pace, never rushing the foundation.
Clear communication, basic structure, and trust — the language everything else is built on.
Skills practiced until they hold: around distractions, in new places, under real pressure.
The work moves into the world — the home, the walk, the park, the vet — where it actually needs to live.
Reliability isn't a trick performed on command. It's a dog who knows what to do when life happens.
Bootcamp only works if it holds at home. Long before your dog graduates, we begin bringing you into the work — the language, the handling, the small daily decisions that keep everything intact.
The hand-off isn't a single moment. It's a transition we build together, so you return home with a dog you understand — and the confidence to lead them.

Owner session
A family learning the handling and communication their dog has come to understand.

On the road
Trainers and owners, working together — where the work continues.
The most important learning begins when your dog returns home.
That's why every K9 Bootcamp includes three private follow-up sessions. Together, we'll help you apply everything your dog has learned to your own home, routines, and daily life.
We'll coach your timing, handling, communication, and decision-making so you leave not simply with a trained dog — but with the confidence to continue building on that foundation together.
The first days, at home.
We help you settle your dog into the rhythms of your household — doorways, meals, guests, the spaces that matter most — so the understanding built here carries into the first days home.
In the world you actually live in.
We move the work into your daily life: walks, the car, the vet, the places that test a relationship. You learn to read your dog and make the small decisions that keep things steady out in the world.
When the work becomes yours.
The point where you no longer need us. We refine your timing and confidence so you can keep building on the foundation — together, long after the sessions end.
Because successful training isn't measured by what happens here.
It's measured by what happens after you leave.

Graduation
The moment a dog goes home — and a family begins the next chapter.
Graduation is a milestone, not a finish line. Your dog goes home with new skills and a calmer way of moving through the world. You go home with understanding — and a relationship that's ready for what comes next.
Graduation isn't the end of the journey. Families become part of the Topline community, and many stay connected for years. Former Bootcamp dogs regularly return for refresher training, boarding while their families travel, or simply to spend time in a familiar environment with people they know and trust.
We don't see Bootcamp as a transaction. We see it as the beginning of a long-term relationship.
One service our clients consistently tell us they love is our convenient pick-up and drop-off option for both Bootcamp and boarding.
We know life gets busy. For $2 per mile, we’ll safely transport your dog to and from our facility, making their stay as easy and stress-free as possible for you.
